#15. Blended (2014)

If you are looking for a fun family comedy with romance and love in abundance, this movie is just for you. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore stars as Jim and Lauren, single loving parents to their children. They first meet each other on a blind date set up by their friends which goes awfully wrong when Jim bails out on Lauren. They meet each other again on several unfortunate occasions and argue with each other. But fate has something else stored for them, when they signed up for a luxurious family vacation with their kids and get stuck with each other again in the same suit. With little space to improvise, Jim and Lauren consider giving each other a second chance when their kids starts having really good time in each other’s company. A really, goofy, feel good movie to look forward to. This is also the third time Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are working together as a couple after, The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates.

This romantic coming of age film is based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. The film follows Ronnie (Miley Cyrus), a rebellious teen living with her mother and brother, moves back with her estranged and divorced father in a southern quit beach town during summer. Initially, Ronnie resents her father for leaving them, but Ronnie meets Will, a handsome, popular guy and develop feelings for him. This brings change in Ronnie who once shunned her love for music, rediscovers her passion again, and reconnects with her father eventually. When she learns Will’s and her father’s secret she is heartbroken and broke her relationship with Will. Ronnie after learning her father’s illness, she realized she loves her father more than anything. When her father dies, Ronnie sings a song dedicated to her father. Will asks for her forgiveness after the funeral and she finally forgives and Will plans to go with Ronnie so they can stay together. The film is very much romantic with a hint of sorrow and lots of realization that makes this film a must watch if you need to detox yourself from negativity.

This romantic comedy film follows a woman who fearing her boyfriend will never propose her, plans of surprising him by flying to Dublin and proposing him on Leap day, a tradition followed by the Irish people where women proposes to their men. But her journey is far from beautiful and fairy tale-like, as she deals with lot of obstacles on her journey like bad weather also including an arrogant, handsome Irish innkeeper who she pays to drive her to Dublin. While on their way, they both to get to know each and not realizing they have fallen in love with each other. Will they realize and open their hearts to each other before it’s too late? Leap year, despite negative reviews captured my heart by its story of pursuing her love despite all the hurdles, and the beautiful Irish locations are die for. There you go a simple but heart touching love story.

To support her addiction she accepts a job Successful Saving, a job that completely differs from her personality. She falls for her boss but breaks his heart when he comes to know she lied to him about her debts and her true self. Rebecca is torn apart when everybody leaves her side including her best friend. She realized that materialistic things doesn’t bring her happiness and that happiness is about people you love and tries to redeem herself to win back her love and her best friend.

This movie is romance between two guys, wait bromance. A bromance movie is so much better than high school drama movie. The film too has two of the most funniest actors on the planet. Kevin Hart plays the role of a fella who barely meeting ends living with his family and Will Ferrell, a innocent loaded guy with a beautiful fiancee, job and a house. When Will Ferrell gets wrongly accused for embezzlement and is looking for a long jail time. Hearing all the jail time stories and terrified, he sought for help by asking Kevin to make him tough by being his tutor so he could survive in jail. They soon bond together well and become brothers helping each other with their troubled lives. Although the film failed to impress the critics, it was a huge success at the box office earning thrice against its budget. A must watch movie with lots of offending yet very funny.

Following a drunk and wild night together, they end up getting married, but instantly hate each other after realizing their mistake. Things would pretty well end soon but not when they win a lottery of 3 million dollars and goes to the court to divide it lawfully by getting a divorce. But when the judge order them six months working their marriage, that when the fun begins. Both promising themselves never to back down and make each others lives a living hell till one gives up the money developing feelings along the way. This movie is sweet, funny, lots of shenanigans played by both parties and also love that eventually wins above all.

But soon there is trouble in paradise as Tai becomes more popular than her and she can’t find herself a boyfriend. Upset she decides to go through a makeover herself having a new meaning about life and regrets about her life before which was filled with the superficial things. Rediscovering herself totally and finding the right guy in the end.

This movie will surely bring your early teenage memories back. The film doesn’t have a strong story but there are interesting twists and the performances of the actors make this movie a must watch.
