If I Stay is a romantic musical movie directed by R. J Cutler, is based on the novel of the same name by Gayle Forman and stars Chlöe Grace Moretz, Jamie Blackley .The film tells the heartbreaking story of a teenage girl, Mia Hall who after a fatal car accident become comatose. She has an out-of-body experience where she sees her family members dying one by one and she could do nothing. She must now face with the hardest decision whether to hang in there, wake up and live her life as an orphan or give up and join her family. With her family dead she has only her love of life to count on. And eventually she chooses her love and returns from the dead. This movie is bittersweet romantic film with a moving story line.

The story is quite different from the other films in this list as it showcases the raw real life scenario’s when it comes to life threatening diseases and the lengths people would go to save their dear ones.

Adam also meet other cancer patients and bonds with them. Adam opens up to his psychologist Katherine and that leads to their closeness. Adam’s surgery is successful and now is recovering and is dating Katherine. The film beautifully portrays the struggles of a cancer patient, how relationships are affected and the bitter truth to accept one’s fate. 50/50 is very different than any other film in this, it’s a dark movie with a little bit of romance and comedy, taking you on a sad but beautiful journey.
